NEW YORK—Brooks Brothers has reached a deal with luxury retailer Nordstrom to carry Brooks Brothers menswear and children’s collections. The collections will debut in stores and online for fall 2011.
“We are very excited about this new partnership and honored to be working with Nordstrom,” said Brooks Brothers’ wholesale president Paulette Garafalo. “Our presence at Nordstrom allows us to reach new customers. It also gives us an opportunity to speak to the increasing number of younger men who are either drawn to our legendary brand or may be just discovering it.”
Nordstrom menswear GMM David Witman added, “We know many of our customers admire and appreciate the Brooks Brothers brand for its heritage and quality. We’re thrilled to be able to offer Brooks Brothers merchandise and we think our customers will respond well to it.”
According to Brooks Brothers, the collection will arrive in stores this July. It will include tailored clothing, furnishings, outerwear and some sportswear. The company said that some of the collection will come in slimmer fits. Nordstrom will also carry the Nikki Kule-designed boys’ and girls’ “Fleece” collection, which is new.
