Luxury group LVMH has promoted Susan Whiteley as chief executive officer of Givenchy Couture, replacing Fabrizio Malverdi who will now head up Dior Homme at Christian Dior Couture.
Both moves are effective starting in April.
Whiteley moves to the post from Louis Vuitton, where she has been general manager of its UK, Ireland and Scandinavian operations since 2004. Prior to this she was the president and CEO of Alexander McQueen, and buying director at luxury department store Harvey Nichols London.
LVMH said the changes are intended to accelerate the growth of Givenchy Couture, capitalizing on its current success.
