TAG forms joint venture with Maker & Company

NEW YORK—The Apparel Group, Ltd. (TAG) announced that it has formed a joint venture with the one-year-old sportswear brand, Maker & Company.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that Chris Crowley has joined The Apparel Group team,” said TAG chief operating officer John Liu. “The combination of Chris’s unique merchandising talent along with TAG’s product development and supply chain strength will give Maker & Company the ammunition necessary to become a world class brand. We are looking forward to this long-term partnership.”

Maker & Company was founded in 2010 by Steve Seelert and former TailorByrd partner Chris Crowley.

TAG, a strategic partner of the Hong Kong-based TAL Group, does a large private label business in shirts and sportswear and owns the Enro brand, with wide distribution in men’s specialty stores.
