As a consultant to the Gilt Man merchandising team, Wooster will provide trend forecasting and creative direction. He will report to Gilt Man general manager John Auerbach.
Auerbach commented, “As we continue to expand our men’s division, Nick Wooster’s accomplished fashion and merchandising experience will help solidify Gilt Man’s presence in the market and the increasing success of Gilt Groupe’s business as a whole. We are excited to have Nick join the team and look forward to incorporating his advice and ideas in to the plan for Gilt Man’s expansion moving forward.”
“I am thrilled to join such a dynamic, fast growing, team with a great reputation as a high-end fashion retailer leading the charge in the online shopping revolution,” added Wooster. “I look forward to working with the Gilt Man team to strengthen the category’s credibility as the men’s style authority.”
Wooster left Neiman Marcus in May, after just over a year. Prior to that he was director of creative services at Los Angeles-based Splendid/Ella Moss. He has also held positions at John Bartlett, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman. Last week, the Project trade show announced that it had hired Wooster as a consultant for its upcoming Las Vegas show.
