CHICAGO—The Headwear Association announced six new inductees to its Headwear Hall of Fame: Aretha Franklin, Cameron Diaz, Carlos Santana, Gwen Stefani, Ne-Yo, and Payne Stewart. The six were chosen by the Headwear Association’s board from more than 50 living and dead hat-wearers chosen by Association members.
“Every year we honor those in the public eye that are frequently seen in their daily lives wearing fashionable and trend-setting hats,” said Headwear Association president Courtney Bush. “From Stewart’s ivy caps on the links to Aretha’s scene-stealing giant bow hat at Obama’s presidential inauguration to Santana’s and Ne-Yo’s ubiquitous fedoras or Cameron and Gwen’s ever changing fashion-forward choices, we recognize current and past hat enthusiasts for their positive influence and hat-wearing style.”
