The MRket Las Vegas menswear trade show will start at 11am on Tuesday, August 21th this summer. Unlike previous seasons, MRket will not start the day before the other Las Vegas trade shows.
Britton Jones, CEO of MRket’s parent company, which also owns MR Magazine and MRketplace.com, explained the change: “It became clear as the year progressed that the market week for August was going to be the week of August 20th, and we believe in supporting markets rather than having split weeks—especially at a time when the industry is getting healthier. We also are very aware that the retailers hate it when all of the shows run the same three days. Normally, we solve that problem by opening a day earlier. However, this year there is a big corporate event right ahead of us that precludes our early opening. So, we have decided to open a day later on the Tuesday at 11am, which will coordinate as well as possible with the other Vegas shows, both men’s and women’s, but will give our exhibitors enough time for move in.”
The first day of the show will run until 7pm, and Jones added, “We decided that since we’re opening a little later, we’d do it with a celebration. We will be having an open bar and hors d’oeuvres so that retailers and exhibitors can network and continue to shop on extended hours.”
The full schedule for the show, which runs from Tuesday, August 21 through Thursday, August 23 at the Venetian Hotel is as follows:
