WINNIPEG—Silver Jeans Co. has named Doreen Panzer president of sales for its wholesale division. Panzer was most recently VP of sales at Calvin Klein Jeans, where she spent the last 18 years of her career. She was VP of sales for the last seven years.
Michael Silver, who was recently elevated to the new position of CEO from president of Silver Jeans, commented: “After an exhaustive search for the correct individual to lead the Silver Jeans Co. wholesale division to the next level, I am very excited to have found Doreen Panzer, whose experience and reputation in the industry, especially her denim fashion focus, makes her the perfect addition to our team.”
Panzer will work with Silver Jeans’ new retail division and the US and Canadian sales teams to grow the business.
Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Silver Jeans Co. is a division of family-owned Western Glove Works, a 90-year-old work wear company. The company ceased making work gloves in the 1940s but continued making denim work wear. Michael Silver launched Silver Jeans as a division of Western Glove in 1991. Silver Jeans Co. jeans are carried by retailers like Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dillard’s and retail for $80-$100.
