Sachi offers chic alternative to brown bagging

Let me start this blog by saying that my partner is an amazing cook. Consequently I bring my lunch to work almost every day…yes he’s often the reason MR‘s offices smell so good around 1:00, and more than one of his meals has launched those of us in the office “foodie patrol” off on a tangent of swapping recipes, plugging favorite restaurants and reviewing dinner party menus. Because I’m usually worried about it spilling all over everything else in my bag (it’s happened), I always wrap the container in a plastic grocery bag (very chic), twist it tight, and shove it way to the bottom…hoping it doesn’t spill, rip, or otherwise make a mess on my commute.

When I got a plug from a company a few months back about a wine tote that was good looking and at a nice price point, I really wanted to do something with it…but I procrastinated. Later, when I took another look at the images they’d sent, I realized they’d provided shots of these very chic lunch bags!

The Sachi Insulated Lunch Messenger Bags look good enough to work as a messenger bag if you’re not using it for…well…lunch. The styling is masculine — the company also offers some that look a little retro, handbags and other more casual styles in camo prints — and have front pockets to slip in a pen or a phone. The handles fold down to fit in the refrigerator, and it zips closed and folds down to lay flat. Could be a great last minute addition to your holiday OTB, but would also be great for the spring 2013 grads & dads season. Suggested retail is $23.99. Check out the full selection, including the wine totes and their “Cool Gems” freezer packs at sachi-bags.com.
