NEW YORK—Intradeco Apparel has acquired the men’s pajama and loungewear company Knothe Group. Intradeco will operate it as a separate division, led by the existing Knothe team.
Knothe Group is a 100-year-old business that manufactures men’s robes, pajamas and loungewear under the Chaps, Izod and State O Maine brands.
Miami-based Intradeco is a manufacturer of private label thermal underwear and basics. The terms of the deal, for which MMG’s Allan Ellinger served as an advisor, were not disclosed.
Intradeco’s Terry Trofholz commented in a statement, “We are very excited to bring on the strong line of brands and licenses that Knothe has developed. We believe the synergies between the businesses will bring real benefits to our valued customers.”
Knothe COO Ricky Bern added, “We are proud to become part of the Intradeco family, and we are thrilled to be able to take advantage of Intradeco’s vertical supply chain structure, world class operating systems and financial strength.”
Intradeco was founded in 1982. The company has facilities in Central America through its Hilcasa, Intradesa and Prone subsidiaries.
