Ike Behar licenses DNA Studio for belts, small leather goods

MIAMI—Ike Behar Licensing LLC has licensed DNA Studio for men’s and boys’ belts and small leather goods. The new collection will debut next week for fall 2013 delivery.

“While our heritage is clearly all about the Ike Behar brand as our consumer’s preferred dress shirt and neckwear choice, our goal of building his Ike Behar dress wear wardrobe to include tailored clothing, outerwear, jewelry, loungewear and hosiery moves one step further ahead with this exciting partnership with DNA Studio,” commented Ike Behar president Alan Behar. “We particularly look forward to offering our consumer the finest leather goods in luxurious skins, top qualities and new styling that perfectly reflect the fine taste, timeless elegance and expert workmanship that my father has brought to all products that bear the Ike Behar name.”

Harold Master, SVP of DNA Studio, explained, “Ike Behar is the premier brand to be licensed by the new division of Dezine News Accessories (DNA).”

Master joined DNA last September when it acquired Master Accessories. Master launched DNA Studios as a division of DNA to capture some of the better men’s accessory business.

DNA president James David Wagner added, “We are excited to work with Ike Behar and the strong legacy he has created for the well dressed gentleman, and his son. We will be adding stylish touches to this gentleman including belts, small leather goods and handsome bags. We are finding his current design consciousness is right on target for what is happening within the accessories market now.”

DNA is a seven-year-old company run by CEO David Wagner and designer John Maloney. It does mostly private label men’s and women’s belts and women’s handbags.
