Hudson Jeans COMMERCE, Calif.–Hudson Jeans has named former Wet Seal store operations SVP Barbara Cook as its new president, a newly created position. She will report to Hudson founder and CEO Peter Kim.

“Barbara is joining Hudson during an exciting time in our brand’s growth,” commented Kim in a statement. “Her depth of international experience in retail operations, merchandising, and general management, coupled with her demonstrated ability to streamline businesses, will help us continue to propel forward on every front of our expansion.”

Added Cook, “I feel privileged to join a brand whose vibrancy and authenticity is at the core of everything it creates, which customers have clearly responded positively to. I have immense respect for Peter’s vision and for what the brand has accomplished in a relatively short time. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him and the Hudson team to take the business to the next level as a leading global designer denim brand.”
