“I’ve been a huge admirer of Agenda’s decade of success and there couldn’t be a more exciting time to join the team and assist in the brand’s further expansion on a national and global scale,” Carter said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to making my own contributions from a sales and marketing standpoint and look forward to what the bright future holds.”
Agenda announced in February that it would be joining Modern Assembly, a newly formed alliance of apparel trade shows exhibiting in Las Vegas. In August, Agenda and the new show Liberty will join the Business Journals Inc. family of shows (which includes MRket) and Capsule in exhibiting at the Venetian and Sands Expo.
Agenda was founded in 2002 by Aaron Levant. It produces two shows a year in Long Beach, Calif. and launched a New York version in July 2010. Agenda was acquired in January by the ReedPOP division of Reed Exhibitions. ReedPOP is best known for its consumer fan-focused events, like New York ComicCon.
