Ministry of Supply Names Mellett Design Director

Ministry of SupplyApparel brand Ministry of Supply has hired Jarlath Mellett as its new design director.

Ministry of Supply, a brand of high-tech apparel based on a collection of dress shirts, trousers and undershirts, sells online through its own e-commerce site. It was founded in 2010 and gets funding from VegasTechFund, a group led by Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh.

Jarlath Mellett has worked as a designer for Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer and Theory.

“Bringing on Jarlath is a major step in Ministry of Supply’s growth,” said CEO Gihan Amarasiriwardena. “He brings an impressive knowledge of classic fashion and design and an innovative vision to our brand that immediately resonated with us all. Having someone of Jarlath’s pedigree on board further validates our vision, and we look forward to expanding our collection with him to introduce performance professional to even more men.”
