Perry Ellis International has further extended its license agreement to design, manufacture and distribute apparel and related accessories with Callaway Golf.
Under the amended deal, Perry Ellis will assume all distribution channels across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The agreement follows a deal in April last year that saw Perry Ellis assume distribution across the western hemisphere.
Transition for this latest deal is expected to take place from January 2014, with the addition of South Africa and a full European roll-out of the brand expected by spring.
“Given the current strength of the Callaway Golf brand, we believe this iconic brand will perform well in all geographic markets and help to further strengthen our relationships with our retail partners around the world,” said Oscar Feldenkreis, president and COO of Perry Ellis International.
For the remainder of the 2014 fiscal year, Perry Ellis said it will make investments in staff and filling key open positions, upgrading Callaway Golf apparel product design to reflect the expanded region’s consumer palate, and enhancing the existing operating infrastructure to perform the warehousing, embellishment and fulfilment of the products.
