Dan Orwig Named CEO of The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council

The Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council has a new president and CEO. Dan Orwig, VP and group director of menswear at Itochu Prominent and a member of the Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council since 2007 takes over for outgoing CEO Stuart Goldblatt (EVP, Macy’s Merchandising Group), who will remain on the Council’s board and executive committee.

“I am honored to be part of an organization that has tirelessly worked to raise money and awareness for children and families in need by honoring inspirational and dedicated parents,” said Orwig. “I look forward to working with both the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Committees as we continue this important philanthropic tradition.”

“Dan’s cooperative spirit and tireless commitment have contributed to the Council’s success since he first joined us in 2007,” said Goldblatt. “I am confident that his remarkable leadership and dedication will be instrumental to our organization’s next phase of growth and success.”

At Itochu Prominent’s menswear division, Orwig is responsible for the Vince Camuto, Perry Ellis and Chester Barrie businesses. He has been with the company for 13 years.
