Carmine Petruzello, president of Perry Ellis International’s namesake division, has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Petruzello, who joined Perry Ellis in November 2011, was responsible for men’s wear sales, merchandising, operations and developing the brand’s global distribution strategy.
Prior to this, Petruzello worked at Buffalo David Bitton as president of its U.S. division. He has previously held several senior-level positions with companies including Liz Claiborne Inc. and Tommy Hilfiger.
Perry Ellis swung to a loss of $28.2 million during the fourth quarter due to significant write-downs on some of the group’s non-core brands and businesses.
