Nike has announced two new appointments as it looks to accelerate growth opportunities in its retail and women’s businesses.
Heidi O’Neill has been promoted to the new role of vice president and general manager of Nike Stores, responsible for all aspects of the company’s global retail presence, including oversight of its Nike-branded partner stores.
O’Neill, who has worked for Nike for 15 years — most recently as VP and GM of its women’s division, will also be responsible for “further elevating consumers’ experience of the Nike Brand at retail”, including development of new store concepts.
Meanwhile, Amy Montagne has been named VP and GM of Nike women’s. She will be responsible for expanding Nike’s brand position with women and continuing to drive momentum within the business.
Montagne has held various roles since joining Nike in 2005, including VP of global running merchandising and VP and GM of global merchandising.
Nike brand president Trevor Edwards said: “These two appointments demonstrate our commitment to investing in our retail experience and our women’s business — two of our most strategic growth opportunities.”
