Luxury goods firm Burberry has unveiled Andy Janowski as chief operations officer, reporting to CEO Angela Ahrendts.
Previously senior vice president supply chain, Janowski joined Burberry from Gap and Banana Republic, while prior to that he held various merchandising, planning and supply chain roles in the US and Italy.
Since joining Burberry in 2006, Janowski has been involved with creating a central, global supply chain team, which launched a ‘sea versus air’ initiative, resulting the company said, in significant cost savings.
The announcement follows the recent appointment of Christopher Bailey to the new post of Burberry chief creative officer.
