Apparel company Jockey International has signed pro football quarterback Tim Tebow as a spokesperson for the company with immediate effect.
The first round NFL draft pick, who was the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy, signed a multi-year agreement with the intimate apparel-led business.
Featuring in catalogues, on television and in print ads, Tebow will work with several Jockey lines, including its Staycool collection which launches in spring 2011.
He will also collaborate on social media initiatives and will be featured on company website jockey.com.
“Tim is genuine, smart and driven, and those qualities align well with Jockey,” said Jockey International chairman and CEO Debra Waller.
“We look forward to building a long and collaborative relationship with him in the coming years.”
