Deloitte & Touche has resigned as the independent registered public accounting firm of US clothing firm American Apparel.
It had served as the company’s auditor since 3 April 2009, a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commitee (SEC) said.
The company’s shares dipped after the resignation, which follows news of financial woes earlier in the year.
American Apparel said it has authorised Deloitte to respond fully to the inquiries of the company’s successor accountants, which will be Marcum LLP.
