Retailer Hibbett Sports is looking for a new president and COO after Nissan Joseph left the company because of "philosophical differences".
Hibbett said it would begin a search for a replacement after Joseph's departure was mutually agreed.
Joseph only joined the Alabama-based company in February this year from footwear company Hickory Brands.
"We have mutually come to this decision and believe it is in the best interests of Hibbett and Nissan," said Hibbett Sports chairman and CEO Mickey Newsome. "We will build on initiatives put in place that complement the success we have experienced over the last 40 years."
Hibbett operates sporting goods stores in small to mid-sized markets in the US' Sunbelt, Mid-Atlantic and lower Midwest, typically located in centres and malls.
