I think Josh Weiss captured most of George Weintraub and the amazing company that was JHC. Both George and JHC were incubators
for some of the best and most talented Mens Executives in Tailored
Clothing.That said, George Weintraub was in a class by himself. He
was the ABSOLUTE BEST Salesman/Showman that I have ever seen..and I
say that with over 40 yrs.experience in menswear.George never made
it about the product he was selling...because George was selling himself. If you bought George then you bought his suits and sptcts.
He was amazing to watch. He spoke softly,he screamed,he whispered
but he never stopped selling.Josh and I laughed the other day when
we recalled a mid-west buyer coming to market to work with George.
George actually got him so excited in the presentation that the
buyer actually fainted.No lie...Josh and I were both there when it
happened and had to call Roosevelt Hosp. for paramedics.We were
scared silly...When any of the 6 showroom "boys" were invited in to
George's office to help in his presentation it was as if we were
being invited to the White House.I was also allowed to watch and learn how to CLOSE A SALE by someone considered to be "THE BEST IN
THE MENS TAILORED CLOTHING BUSINESS". What an experience for a 20yr
old looking to move up the ladder.I can't say that George Weintraub
was the nicest,most compassionate loveable person I ever met but he
was my idol and the BEST DAMN SALESMAN I have ever seen !!!
