Garys’ iconoclast: A straight shooter who’s as quirky as he is creative, Steve Ramenofsky’s vision is all about change.

Both the menswear and shoe businesses lost a friend last weekend when Cole Haan co-founder and Garys owner Dick Braeger passed away.

Dick Braeger, the founder of Cole-Haan and owner of the Garys better men’s specialty stores in California, died Friday after a long illness. He was 74.
