PVH signed a five-year deal with Authentic Brands Group for furnishings under the Hickey Freeman and Hart Schaffner Marx brands.

Authentic Brands Group has acquired HMX’s intellectual property and a second company led by HMX CEO Doug Williams has acquired the operations. The deal will keep HMX’s factories in Chicago and Rochester open.

HMX Group has filed for bankruptcy protection and awaits approval on a stalking horse bid from Authentic Brands.

Workers United, the union that represents employees of the tailored clothing factories owned by HMX, is rallying its members against the threat of factory closures.
